SenseCore technology

The SenseCore technology platform represents the heart of all developments. The patented micro-pump consists of two main parts - a rotating slotted, staggered shaft and a complementary fixed housing with integrated valves. Both parts are typically made of different plastic compounds and miniaturized in size. This allows accurate delivery increments from 250 nl to 50 µl. 

Based on its unique and innovative design, the SenseCore technology has several major advantages. First of all, it allows the development of scalable and highly customizable delivery solutions. In addition, the drug or substance can be pumped from various reservoir types and sizes which has a positive impact on the design, but also characteristics of the drug delivery system. Furthermore, due to the used pump compounds and the respective manufacturing technology the system is highly cost-efficient. In general, the SenseCore technology is characterized by an excellent accuracy and safety throughout the entire delivery range. This is mainly related to the used downstream dosing kernel with integrated free-flow prevention. The flexibility of this platform allows also pursuing either a disposable or a reusable product concept. And last, but not least, the micro-pumps are designed to ensure a reliable, high-volume manufacturing process. 

Sensile Medical’s platform technology is therefore able to offer a wide range of potential applications in the various fields of liquid dispensing (Medical and Diagnostics) including but not limited to standard, micro or patch infusion systems, reconstitution devices and filling aids, pens for single or multiple drug delivery and, in the area of in-vitro diagnostic systems.
